Whether you're a seasoned DIY'r or new to home automation, the SmartLinc - INSTEON Lamp, Keypad and Wall Switch Web-based Control Kit is a solution that makes controlling and dimming traditional incandescent light bulbs a breeze. You can turn a single light or group of lights on and off from a single press of a button from another room in your home. You can also turn lights on as you're on the way home from work or even while on vacation to give your home that lived in look when you're away - you can do it all with this kit! Control lamps with the included plug-in Dual-Band LampLinc Dimmers, and replace existing wall switches with the included SwitchLinc Dimmer and KeypadLinc Dimmer. The LampLincs double as a pair of Access Points - relaying RF and powerline signals to other INSTEON-compatible devices in the home. The LampLincs, SwitchLinc and KeypadLinc all have advanced features like an adjustable ramp rate that slowly brings lights on and a preset dim level that stores your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels when turning lights on initially. The KeypadLinc has a built-in dimmer that is controlled by the two large buttons. The 4 smaller buttons can be linked wirelessly to control other lights or appliances in other parts of the house. All buttons feature backlit status LEDs so you can see at a glance which lights have been left on (or off).
This kit also features the use of SmartLinc. SmartLinc allows you to use your web-enabled phone or PDA (designed for optimal use with an iPhone or iPod touch) to access your network and turn your devices off from virtually anywhere. Additionally, SmartLinc allows you to set custom timers - limiting the use of lights based on when you are home or by sunrise and sunset.

Easy to Install
This kit is so easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to automate your entire home with INSTEON-compatible products. Just remove your old switches and install the new KeypadLinc Dimmer and the new SwitchLinc Dimmer by attaching the line, load, ground, and neutral wires using the included wire nuts; then plug-in the new Dual-Band LampLinc Dimmers to an available outlet. Following the included instructions, start linking each SwitchLinc and LampLinc module to the KeypadLinc. Adjust brightness levels and ramp rates to create awesome lighting scenes. Once SmartLinc is connected to your router (required), it can control them all - link the included devices to your web-enabled phone or PDA and control your INSTEON network from almost anywhere.
Expandability
You can expand on this kit to control your entire home by adding INSTEON dimmers and switches, wire-in / outlet modules, plug-in modules, low-voltage input / output control, and HVAC control to automate lighting and appliances, control the garage door, adjust the temperature and much more. Install HouseLinc 2 - INSTEON Desktop Software on your computer to schedule INSTEON-compatible devices to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. Or try SmartLinc - INSTEON Central Controller, which can be linked to any web-enabled mobile device through Wi-Fi and cellular communication, allowing you to control or create timers for INSTEON devices or scenes from inside your home, in the backyard, at work, in the car or on vacation halfway around the world!
