We have used a pet fountain for our cats for years, it seems to encourage them to drink more and stay healthier. We have tried other brands and ended up replacing the fountain/motor almost every year. This brand lasted a lot longer (I think we had our last one for over three years). There are some downfalls to using any pet fountain: you have to clean it once or twice a week so the motor doesn't get clogged (our cats leave a lot of debris in the water like fur and food), you have to place it near an outlet... also, we now have a spoiled cat who refuses to drink standing water from a regular bowl, twice he has gotten dehydrated when our fountain was broken.

I like the concept and general design of this item, but after running it for several hours, there was barely a trickle of water coming out. Also, I was concerned about the unit running out of water with the motor still running while I was away from the house. Perhaps the larger capacity model would alleviate that concern. Otherwise it seems well-made.

Very nice product and well built. Our cat is still a little afraid of it, but he's warming up to it.

This product is excellent. My cats are drinking far more water than ever before. I didn't know at first that it was supposed to get LOUDER as a signal to add more water, but once that was figured out, the product runs silently.

I use it for 7 months and it works perfectly. If it start making noise even when it''s full of water, just clean it and remove the cat''s hair that get stuck to the pump and it will run like new. I also use CLR to remove white stain cause by the water. Also if the pump stop working, you can open it to clean the parts inside.
