Record and play back up to 40 hours of real-time surveillance video with audio, or 64 hours of time-lapse images on a single T-160 VHS tape. The unit records in five selectable speeds, including 40 hours of real-time video or 64-hours of time-lapse video on a single tape! Taping can be initiated via several methods, including manually, with pre-programmed schedules or with an X10 appliance module. For example, you could use a motion sensor, an X10 RF receiver, and a Universal Module to begin recording when someone enters a specific room. It can also be hooked up to your security system for instant activation when an alarm is triggered. Remote control requires 2 AA batteries (included).

Other features include an autorepeat function, which rewinds the tape to the beginning and resumes recording when the end of the tape is reached, and the ability to play back tapes at varying speeds. For a slow motion effect or accelerated playback, simply use a slower or faster playback speed than that used for recording. Audio playback is only possible on tapes recorded in the 2-, 8- 24- or 40-hour modes. Tapes can be viewed on standard VCRs, although playback may be accelerated, depending on recording speed. Comes with 2 sets of RCA cables and a full-featured remote control. Works on AC voltages from 90 to 250 volts.
Note: Time-lapse VCRs accept only baseband audio and video signals that come from cameras, other VCRs, or audio and video outs of a DVD, cable box, TV or monitor. They can’t accept modulated signals.
