Distributes Signals from One or Two Satellite Dishes
The 5x8 HDTV Multi-Switch distributes signals from up to two dual-LNB satellite dishes, or a single dish with two dual LNBs attached. For example if you're a DIRECTV subscriber who gets signals from the 110° or 119° satellites — DIRECTV HDTV, DIRECTV PARA TODOS™, or local network broadcasts in such markets as Grand Rapids, Providence, Las Vegas, etc. — these multi-switches will be able to deliver all those channels to multiple satellite receivers.

Sends Multiple Signals Over One Cable
The multi-switches are equipped with four LNB inputs (two for each LNB on your dish), a fifth input for cable and/or antenna signals, and 8 outputs. And because it can combine cable or antenna signals with satellite signals, your TVs can receive local off-air and satellite channels over a single run of coaxial cable, simplifying installation. Note: For every receiver using cable or antenna channels, you'll need a diplexer to separate the signals (diplexers sold separately).

Select satellite signal by 14V/18V and 0/22kHz tone provided by receivers. Max 600mA DC pass to LNB as operational power. Two-year manufacturer's warranty. 24-Volt DC 600ma power adapter supplied.

This was exactly what I needed. Excellent quality. Price was considerably less than local suppliers. Thanks.

Great device. Don't buy additional 22khz tone generators - they are already included (Smarthome needs to change the 'What's included' description). If you have more than 2 cables coming from your dish, like 4, then you need to have two short coax cables (Smarthome gives parts for do-it-yourself, but Radio Shack sells 1 ft pre-made cables) and 2 male-male connectors. This is to add the 22khz tone generators. The tone generators have a male end to the dish and a female end to the distibutor. The female end is unusual - it looks at first like you can connect directly to the distributor, but you can't connect both because of space (and the manual says to do so violates the warranty).
