The TV/Cable Box Universal Remote features a built-in library containing the device codes for thousands of TVs and cable boxes made and sold around the world. Simply punch in the 3-digit codes that correspond to your brand of TV and/or cable box, and the remote will be instantly programmed to work with your system.
Designed for controlling TVs and cable boxes only (will not control VCRs or DVD players). This remote will control power and volume functions (including mute) on most TVs, and power, volume and channel (up, down, direct entry, previous channel) functions on most cable boxes. Note: The TV/Cable Box Universal Remote does not control a TV's internal tuner. Uses 4 AAA batteries (sold separately).
