Essential Info

Install your data network and coaxial cables safely. The Data SureStrip® Cutter/Stripper cuts and strips shielded/unshielded twisted pair cable as well as coaxial cable easily. The adjustable stripping blade fits different insulation widths for twisted pair cable without damaging conductors, and this Paladin Tools wire stripper features a self-regulating blade to prevent nicks. The coax blade cassette is removable to adjust the stripping depth of both blades with the included hex key.

After you've stripped the coax, save your fingers by using the flaring tool. This special tool quickly (and painlessly!) opens up the coax jacket to make inserting the connector easy. No more bleeding fingers!

"OK, so the blade did not become dull. I just slipped a little. The tool comes with an Hex key (attached to the bottom) and the blue blade casing slides out for adjustment. I do not need to purchase another cable stripper, this one works great now that I know how to use it (instructions would be nice). I found a post on another website about the Hex key, guess I'm not the only one. Your Smarthome customer is not necessarily a professional cable installer or any type of professional installer for that matter. We are weekend warriors, we take on these projects because they are a challenge, they are fun, they impress our wives, and most of all, we get to buy cool new tools. So if you are a vendor and sell to Smarthome customers, please include instructions in your packaging for everything that comes with the kit. That's my 2 cents.
