Network Administrator
SmartLabs, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time network administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our company, including our e-commerce websites. Our new team member will report directly to the CIO. To be successful at SmartLabs you must be hands-on, be a hard worker, and possess a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of desktop, server and notebook lifecycle, including imaging, configuration, software installation, patching/maintaining, troubleshooting and repair
Add/change/delete user accounts in Active Directory 2003/2008 environment
Manage anti-virus and firewall systems
Maintain server room equipment and cabling
Asset management, including software licensing and performing routine audits
Mitel PBX system and user configuration
Perform daily server backups
Phone, email, remote, and in-person computer and peripheral support and training for end users
Interface with vendors, including ISPs, Telco, and hardware/software
Requirements:
In-depth familiarity with Windows desktop and server operating systems (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008), including Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008 domains, and website configuration using IIS
Experience managing Microsoft Exchange 2010 server
Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server (7, 2000, 2005, 2008)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Familiarity with LAN/WAN connectivity and switching/routing, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and WINS
Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance
Experience identifying and eliminating spyware/adware/viruses
Must be able to multi-task effectively and dependably complete assignments
Ability to work and think independently
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs. up/down a flight of stairs
Microsoft and Cisco certifications helpful but not required
Familiarity with Dell servers, EMC fiber channel storage systems, VMWare servers and Foundry/Brocade ServerIron helpful but not required
The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be confident in your ability to work well with upper management and other team members. The ability to work unsupervised, multi-task and follow-up thoroughly on tasks is a must. We are looking for a person who is keen to take on new duties and be a team player in the organization. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required as is 3-5 years experience.
