ORDERING FROM SMARTHOME

| Adding Items to Your Shopping Basket | |
At the bottom of each product page you will find a line for each product we sell which looks like the following: |

To purchase an item, simply click the "Buy" button.
You will then be shown the current contents of your shopping basket, where you can change the quantities for each item in your basket or proceed to check out. If you do change any quantities, you must click the "Update Totals" button before you continue shopping or proceed to check out.
IMPORTANT:
You will need to have COOKIES ENABLED (see below) to use our normal shopping basket. If you do not wish to use cookies, you can use our Manual Order Form or call us at 1-800-SMARTHOME 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

| To Continue Shopping | | To choose additional items for your order, click the "Continue Shopping" button or search for your next item using the search tool.

| To View Contents of Your Cart | |
To view the current contents of your shopping basket (and to make changes) from any web page, click on
"View Cart" at the top of the web page. From this page, you can change quantities or delete items you've added to your basket.

| To Check Out | |
To complete your order, view the contents of your shopping basket and press the "Place Order" button. You have the option to create an account that can be used on future orders to save you from having to type your billing and shipping information in the future. You will then be transferred into secure mode to enter a shipping address, payment information, and select a shipping method. Finalize your order by pressing the "Place Your Order" button at the bottom of the order form.

| Use of "Cookies" | |
Your order is tracked on our system using cookies on your browser, so you must enable cookies in order to use our shopping basket system. If you're having trouble with our shopping basket system, you don't want to enable cookies, or you simply prefer not to order via our online catalog, you can use our Manual Order Form. You will need to know the part numbers, descriptions, and prices of all the items you wish to order before filling in this form.
You can also use the Manual Order Form if you know the part number of an item we carry but cannot find it in our online catalog.

Our shopping basket system allows you to submit an order to us, on-line, while viewing our catalog. Our web servers allow secure/encrypted data transmission using the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Most popular web browsers (including Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and America Online) currently support SSL connections.
