SmartLabs Named One of the Best Companies to Work For 2007 by OC Metro Magazine
Irvine, CA -- June 11, 2007 - IRVINE, Calif. - SmartLabs has been named by OC Metro Magazine as one of the Best Companies to Work For 2007. SmartLabs is recognized in the magazine's June 7 cover story "How Cool is Your 9 to 5."
Companies chosen for OC Metro's 10th annual report on the Best Companies to Work For were chosen for the culture created for their employees, responsibilities handed to them and the reward system for a job well done. According to the magazine, it is the sum of the people, the environment and the way it cares for its own.

The article cites "no email Fridays" as great way for face-to-face communication to take place and break down barriers within the company. Online marketing specialist Jessica Hasenplaugh enjoys the morale boost that comes from a "no email Friday" visit by the vice president of marketing. "It makes me feel important," she says. "The direct communication in general makes me feel more at ease with my co-workers, especially those with whom I don't work as closely."
"Communication is what links us together and the link to our success," continued Kapur. "In addition to 'no email Fridays', we host brown bag lunches with managers and give on-the-spot recognition to our employees.
