Course # SHP 101
Lighting Control Training Level 1: This class is for the dealer that is new to INSTEON. After completion of this class, you will have a general knowledge of how to use and install INSTEON in small jobs.
Course # SHP 201
Lighting Control Training Level 2: This class is open to any SmarthomePro dealer who has completed SHP 101 and has purchased at least one of the dealer starter kits or completed some installations prior to taking the class. After completion of SHP 201, you will have an advanced knowledge of INSTEON linking and programming, including scenes, timer functions, installation and selling tips. You will also be eligible for prioritized referrals from Smarthome customers.
Course # 101/201
This course combines the elements of the SHP 101 and SHP 201 classes. The class is a combination of presentation, and hands-on experience with some of the most popular INSTEON products. Demo boxes containing INSTEON enabled product will be present to allow participants to learn how to the use the products first hand. We will be discussing how the technology works, how it differs from other automation technologies and how you can use it to set up and remotely access a property from anywhere in the world using an Apple iPhone or other web enabled device. The atmosphere is comfortable and questions are welcomed.
At the conclusion of the training, we will be conducting an INSTEON Certification test which- if passed- will move you one step closer to being listed on the Smarthome website as a Certified INSTEON dealer/installer.
INSTEON Software & Troubleshooting 101
This is a new class that is being developing to show dealers the basic workings of many currently available INSTEON software solutions, INSTEON iPhone applications, and network controllers. The class will also go cover the basics of troubleshooting on the job and how to do the basic setup for projects that may include 100+ INSTEON devices.
